High Country Home Educators will be hosting the Central Colorado Geography Bee again this year.
This is open to any area home-school student in the 4th-8th grades.
The Bee is sponsored through National Geographic and will be held on Tuesday, November 15th, 3:15-4:30 or so at New Life Church.
Students will be eligible to compete in Colorado State Level and National Competition in Washington D.C., based on their performance.
Cost to participate in the Geography Bee is $5 per student. We will have a Geography Bee Club on Tuesday, Nov 1 & Nov 8 from 3:15-4:15 (at NLC) to help the students become familiar and comfortable with the Geography Bee question format. Participation in the Club is optional.
We need a minimum of 6 students to hold the bee.
Please register by October 31st, 2011 by going to www.hche.org and then under the Support Group section.
Under SG Events, you will see the Geo Bee information and registration button.
