Golf Tournament 2012

The 4th annual Charity Golf Tournament and Silent Auction is Saturday, August 4, 2012 .

This annual fund-raiser event will benefit not only CHEC, but also all the programs that CHEC hosts such as the Spelling Bee, Introductory Seminars, High School and Beyond Seminars and AME (Apprenticeship/Mentorship/Entrepreneurship).

The event is being held at the beautiful Green Valley Ranch Golf Club in Denver. The format will be a 4 man best ball scramble with prizes for long drive, closest to the pin, hole in one, etc. The price will include practice balls, green fees, cart and a sumptuous luncheon buffet and awards ceremony immediately following play.

Scramble is a play process where all four players hit their own ball every time, then as a team you decide which of the four lies benefits you the most. Next, you all place your ball and hit from that spot, and continue that process until the ball is in the hole…even on the green. This format accommodates all levels of players. We will have more details and a rule sheet at the tournament.

Take advantage of the pre-tournament specials on the registration form and remember we’ll also be having our always popular Silent Auction with many items you’ll certainly want to be prepared to bid on! Previous year's silent auction prizes have included a Colorado Avs autographed team stick, autographed official Broncos helmet and jersey, autographed Rockies baseball, coupons from some of the best restaurants in the Denver area and more.

This is an extremely fun and fulfilling type of tournament that truly does cater to all playing abilities. It doesn't matter if you are a scratch golfer or a hacker who hasn't played much at all; you are guaranteed to have fun and support a great cause.

Sponsorship opportunities are available at various levels.
