Homeschool Introductory Seminars

CHEC’s professionally-presented introductory seminar brings together veteran homeschool parents and families who are considering homeschooling. These seminars seek to provide the how, what, why, and where questions of homeschooling in Colorado. Topics covered include:
  • things to consider before beginning 
  • learning and teaching styles
  • support groups
  • record keeping and scheduling
  • special needs children
  • the homeschool law in Colorado
  • how to be successful in your homeschool
  • Independent School options
  • the success of homeschooling 
  • the philosophy of homeschooling
  • how to avoid burnout
  • answers to objections (socialization, etc.)

9:15 am: Vision & Philosophy of Homeschooling
11:00 am: Break
11:15 am: Colorado Homeschool Law
12:30 pm: Lunch
1:30 pm: Nuts & Bolts, How-To of Homeschooling
3:30 pm: Close of seminar

 


Scheduled Seminars

Registration is $40 for a couple and includes a light breakfast and lunch. Because of the wide range of food considerations, we are unable to accommodate special dietary needs. Grandparents are welcome to attend for free. Child care is not provided.
