Workshops

There are three different workshops offered at Day at the Capitol:

Children's Workshop (10am and 1:30pm, Pillar of Fire Church)

Skits and interaction with the speakers make this a dynamite workshop for children age 7-12.  They will learn about the proper function of authority and, in turn, of civil government - it's responsibilities and limits. 

Teen Workshop (10am and 1:30pm, Pillar of Fire Church)

Designed for students age 13-18, this workshop will teach your students about the Constitution and what the Bible has to say about civil government.  This year we welcome instructor Dr. David Noebel as the speaker for this event.  Dr. Noebel is recognized around the world as one of the leaders in communicating Christian worldview.  He is the founder and President of Summit Ministries.

Citizen Lobbyist Workshop (1:30pm, will meet at Pillar of Fire Church, then move to the Capitol)

Join Treon Goossen and Brad Hamill as they guide students through what it means to be a lobbyist at the state capitol.  Teens and adults alike will enjoy sitting in on legislative activities at the Capitol and more!
