These ceremonies are a wonderful way for parents to affirm their children publicly and are a great culmination of their homeschool experience. These formal but simple ceremonies will be held at Grace Chapel in Southeast Denver.

The address for Grace Chapel is 8505 South Valley Highway Road, Englewood, CO 80112.

There are 25 spots per ceremony. REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN. Students who have been homeschooled for at least one full year immediately prior to graduation are invited to apply. The cost is $155 and includes cap and gown, printed program. Early registration discount of $25 applies for registrations completed by December 31.

CHEC’s policy regarding cords of distinction, sashes, different colored tassels and robes:

The CHEC graduation ceremonies are designed to be simple and uniform in terms of colors, robes and tassels. The cords, sashes, etc. we see in the commencement exercises of institutions are awarded by the institutions and are in comparison to the other students in the class. The participants in the CHEC ceremonies are not in the same class. Again, the CHEC ceremonies are intended to be simple and uniform in appearance.

Parents who would like their students to wear various adornments in individual and family photos are free to do so separate from the ceremony, and are free to use the stage as a back drop. However, the CHEC ceremony will remain uniform in terms of colors and adornments.
