Pueblo Weisbrod Aircraft Museum
One of the largest and most diverse displays of military aircraft in the state of Colorado. It has over twenty six military aircraft and missiles on display and is in the top ten aircraft museums in the Rocky Mountain West. The museum has expanded into two 20,000 square foot hangars containing educational displays of almost all of America's conflicts from the American Civil War (balloons for aerial observation) to the present. Additionally, the museum offers quarterly "Open Cockpit Days" where visitors can sit in the cockpits of selected aircraft at no additional cost and learn about how the aircraft operate and their role in aviation history. Lastly, the museum offers a variety of education programs through out the year. Typically, a "model rocket building day" is held on the SECOND Saturday of the month at the museum. The cost of the rockets is free. Flying of the rockets is done on the following THIRD SATURDAY at the rocket club's launch site located South West of Pueblo. Other programs such as historical reenactments, presentations, computer flight simulations, etc. occur through out the year.
