Valor Symphonics is bringing a fresh approach to the arts in south Denver, with an emphasis on creating multi-sensory musical experiences to classical music concert-goers. Using the talents of various consultants, including those in the areas of media, lighting, art and dance, the goal of Valor Symphonics is to make concerts excellent, creative, educational, interactive and fun. Headed by experienced local musicians Rick Paswaters and David Rutherford, the young musicians who join this new youth orchestra will be in exceptionally good hands. Mr. Rutherford, who holds his undergraduate and graduate degrees from UNC, has been an educator and orchestral director for over twenty years, and is well-known as the morning host on CPR’s KVOD (90.1 FM). Both men have a passion for developing the talent of young musicians through excellence, education and mentoring. Valor Symphonics performs at the Lone Tree Arts Center.
